FIU-RCMI Research in Progress Seminar featuring Drs. Roberto Lucchini and Michael Anastario

The FIU-RCMI Research Infrastructure Core hosted a Research in Progress Seminar entitled, Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Origin: An Epidemic Related to Climate Change, featuring Drs. Roberto Lucchini, Professor of Environmental Health Sciences, and Michael Anastario, Assistant Professor of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Dr. Lucchini presented an overview of the epidemic, including ways in which it is tied to anthropogenic climate change. Dr. Anastario presented ethnographic data concerning both the diagnosis and study of CKDu in El Salvador.
