Community Research Enhancement Grant (CREG)
The FIU-RCMI is pleased to have provided seed funding for community partners and FIU faculty investigators to establish community-university collaborations. This seed funding was designed to establish long-term relationships with community-based organizations in order to address their health-related concerns and to promote participation in research. Through this funding, the FIU-RCMI hopes to establish community-university collaborations that benefit South Florida communities, and enhance direct community-involvement among FIU faculty conducting health disparities research.
Key information about the pilot program is as follows:
CREG is awarded to approximately 5 awardees each year.
Each project is awarded up to $5,000 in funding.
Current projects are funded for 6 months.
