We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024-25 Community Research Enhancement Grant (CREG) awards! This year’s awardees include:
1. Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade
2. Miami Music Project
3. Miami-Dade Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
4. Allapattah Collaborative Community Development Corporation (CDC)
5. Parent to Parent of Miami
6. City of Miami Department of Human Services
The Community Research Enhancement Grant (CREG) program is dedicated to advancing community-driven research by supporting community-based organizations (CBOs) in building capacity for collaborative partnerships with academic researchers. Through the CREG, CBOs receive funding and technical assistance to strengthen their ability to secure research funding and to conduct research that directly addresses the unique needs and priorities of their communities.
Awardees gathered at Florida International University on November 13, 2024, for a successful orientation meeting led by the FIU-RCMI Community Engagement Core. The session covered essential topics, including research expectations, partnership benefits, and an overview of research ethics and community-driven strategies. We are excited to support their efforts in advancing community health through strengthened community-academic partnerships.
